Art That Connects the World — Doum's International Cooperation Programs
Introducing cultural and arts exchange programs with China, Japan, the United States, and more.
Art transcends language and borders. Based on this universal value, Doum Social Cooperative actively pursues international cooperation programs.
Direction of International Exchange
Doum’s international cooperation is not about one-time exchanges, but aims for sustainable partnerships. We collaborate with music education institutions, orchestras, and cultural organizations in countries such as China, Japan, and the United States, sharing experiences and expertise with one another.
Key Activities
International Competition
Through the Doum International Competition, young musicians from Korea and abroad compete and interact on the same stage. The encounters with international participants offer Korean youth a chance to experience the broader world.
Overseas Performance Exchanges
We promote two-way exchanges where Doum performers take the stage abroad and international artists are invited to perform in Korea. Going beyond simple performance exchanges, we broaden musical horizons through joint rehearsals and workshops.
Joint Development of Educational Programs
We research and develop arts education curricula in partnership with overseas educational institutions. It is a process of mutual learning — adopting the strengths of each country’s educational approach while sharing our own experiences.
Art Connecting the World
A single piece of music can serve as a bridge for understanding different cultures. Through international cooperation, Doum will continue to serve as a bridge that promotes the value of Korean culture and arts to the world while introducing the world’s diverse arts to Korea.
